sir,
I am directed by the Governor te return to
you the memorial which you have addressed to the secretary
of State for the Colonise on the subject of your suspersice
ard to inform you that Els Ezoslleroy considers that in
bringing charges of irregularity and drunkerness agiret
other officers which you cannot substatiate you are
adopting a line of defence which is wholly unjustifiable and
more likely to injure them to sesist your oause.
I am therefore to suggest that you would be
well advised to re-consider your position. Any fresh
memorial which you may wish to make should reach this office
before 2 p.m. tomorrow in view of the fact that the mail
goes out on Friday.
